Congratulations to Fairfax County Public Schools on their $1.2 Million Department of Defense Education Agency award to support STEM education in Mount Vernon High School and Whitman Middle School. Arroyo Research Services is partnering with Fairfax County to evaluate this important project.
Known as Operation Major Success, the program will include after-school and summer programs, with summer STEM institutes that introduce students to forensics, robotics, engineering, and rockets. It is designed to provide academic and social support for military dependent students and their families. The grant was recently reported in the Fairfax Daily Monitor. This project adds to Arroyo Research Services current engagement to evaluate Operation Patriotic STEM at Ft. Belvoir Elementary School, also in the Fairfax County Public Schools, and funded through the Department of Defense. |
